This release could be expressed in terms of volume diffusion. The temperature dependence in CsF, CsBr and CsI can be described by the activation energies ≦ 2, 1.45 and 1.14 eV and the frequency factors ≦ 1 × 10<jats:sup>2</jats:sup>, 1 × 10<jats:sup>2</jats:sup> and 2.0 cm<jats:sup>2</jats:sup>/sec in the temperature regions 450—600, 260—580 and 200—500°C respectively.
