Zusammenfassung: <jats:p> In this study, we discovered the first mutation in a phosphorylation site of pannexin 1 (PANX1) that affects phosphorylation, glycosylation, and trafficking of PANX1 channels in a melanoma patient tumor. We also reported on the ancestral allele of PANX1 that is the most representative variant within human populations. </jats:p>
