In this work, we evaluate the performance of the Photoscan commercial software in a challenging project: the digitization of an earthenware frieze of about 36 m in length. In order to choose the most effective technique and to define the best workflow for on-the-field data acquisition and the subsequent data elaboration, some tests were performed on a portion of the frieze.
